NOTE, some folks are pretty sensitive to spiders so I’m going to save the actual photo of the spider until after a cut, but just note that there will be absolutely a photo of a spider if you continue down this post. The header has a bit of a preview that’s been washed out so hopefully it’s not too bad.

Still here? Good!

That’s the gorgeous orb weaver that set up in front of our mailbox last week. She was bigly, but not as big as they could get. Unfortunately, she was 100% dedicated to setting up a huge web in front of the mail box so she had to go.

I tried breaking the web as a “gentle” way to encourage her to move on but each time she would put it back stronger and thicker. The photographed version was the biggest and best so far.

I had to end up breaking the web and more or less picking her up in my glove and walking her across the road and setting her up in a tree.

The funniest story related to that is around the time weaver scooted up my glove and touched my arm, I heard my daughter make a slight noise and I glanced up and she was just gone. Fully sprint leaving behind nothing but silence.

Absolutely zero care to help protect her dad from the spider.
